Labour party candidate Genevieve Kitchen has won the by-election for the House of Commons constituency of Wellingborough with 45.9% of the vote, dealing another blow to the United Kingdom's incumbent Conservative government, led by Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

This by-election was held at the same time as the by-election in Kingswood, and was triggered a by a successful recall petition against Conservative MP for the constituency, Peter Bone, who was suspended from Parliament for bullying and sexual assault. He was suspended from the party on the 17th October 2023 following the allegations and was recalled by his constituents on 19th December. Peter Bone's partner and Conservative candidate for the by-election, Helen Harrison, came second with 24.6%.
Other candidates for the by-election include Benyamin Habib (Reform UK - 13%), Ana Gunn (Liberal Democrats - 4.7%), Will Morris (Green - 3.4%), Alex Merola (Britain First - 1.6%), Nick the Flying Brick (Official Monster Raving Loony Party - 0.7%) and 4 independents, who received a total of 6.1%.
Like the Kingswood by-election, the Wellingborough by-election resulted in Labour gaining a seat from the Conservatives, with a 28.5% swing from Conservative to Labour. With these two by-election defeats, the Conservatives have suffered the highest number of by-election losses in any Parliament since 1945, with a net loss of 9 seats via by-elections since the 2019 general election.
