Donald Trump has won the Virgin Islands Presidential caucuses, which were held on 8th February 2024. Ranked-choice voting was used in the caucuses, with Trump beating Nikki Haley 182 votes to 64 in the final round and winning all 4 delegates.

The number of delegates allocated by the Virgin Islands caucuses was reduced from 9 to 4 by the Republican National Convention due to the caucuses using ranked-choice voting instead of proportional representation.
Donald Trump previously served as President from 20th January 2017 to 20th January 2021. Following his defeat at the 2020 Presidential election, Trump attempted to overturn the results of the election, culminating in the attack on the United States Capitol. Trump has since faced challenges to his eligibility to appear on the Republican primary ballot in Colorado and Maine, with legal proceedings in those states currently ongoing.
The former President is facing several other legal issues in addition to the dispute about his eligibility. He faces 34 felony charges of falsifying business records, which could lead to him potentially being sentenced to 136 years in prison if convicted on all counts. He also has 40 felony charges against him in a federal indictment in relation to Trump's alleged mishandling of classified documents. Furthermore, he faces 17 additional charges in Washington, D.C. and Georgia related to his attempts to overturn the 2020 election.
